I was not completely happy with the way my Mediterranean painting turned out. I changed it a little and am so much happier with it now.



The painting below is anther first attempt at painting. I wanted to try a different style.  It was a nice challenge to paint a person. In the near future i plan to paint a series of dancers. I feel this was a good start to a technique I would like explore.

 The painting below is relatively small. I wanted to capture the color of a California sunset by a large mountain lake.

 I painted this on a snowy day in Norway. I love the older Tuscan style buildings scattered throughout California. I wanted to sit out in the sun and enjoy a glass of wine. It was a nice daydream on a cold winter day.

California Wine

 The painting below was created during a very cold snow storm. I kept hearing stories of trips to the Mediterranean, which as I have found out is a very popular Norwegian vacation spot this time of year. It added a little sun and warmth to the winter that surround me.

This is a sketch that i would one day like to paint in remembrance of my niece.

I hope to have more soon. .... I am familiarizing myself and becoming inspired by the Norwegian landscape and have plans to paint my new home!

I have moved to Norway . I have left everything I have known and worked for with the opportunity to start new. I now have the time to peruse one of my greatest passions...art.
